ANTOINE STEINBACH
Hailing from the Drôme region, 24-year-old producer and multi-instrumentist Antoine Steinbach crafts music that grafts the disco-funk brilliance of the 80s and 90s onto the finely-chiseled electronic textures of the French New Wave. A true lover of vintage grooves, he mentally samples the chrome cassettes of his childhood to create a dialogue with drum machines, slapped basslines, and talkbox keyboards. The result: a danceable, glossy yet handcrafted pop that he playfully describes as "the soundtrack to a roller-disco party under a glitter ball, delivered with a USB charger."
Summer Kiss condenses this aesthetic into less than four minutes: wah-wah guitar riffs, big-booty beats, sugary synth pads, and a killer vocal hook. Between bilingual verses (French/Spanish), the track offers a direct nod to Breakbot, Steinbach's primary electro-funk mentor. Mastered at La Masia de Studios in Barcelona, the single aims to "smell like sunscreen while sounding Hi-Fi." Behind the swaying rhythm lies the guitar of Tom Roux, an audio and lighting engineer by trade. Antoine Steinbach handles the composition, production, and synth bass, while Éric Mondon injects his vacation imagery into lyrics tailor-made for sunsets.
