RESTAVRANT

Formed in Los Angeles by Troy Murrah, RESTAVRANT is an American duo that summons the ghosts of roots blues, gritty country, and primitive rock ’n’ roll, only to let them explode against electronic loops and DIY rhythms. With Tyler Whiteside on drums and machines, the project revisits the musical heritage of the American South through a radically contemporary approach, bridging the gap between analog and digital.

The self-proclaimed outcasts of Elvis, RESTAVRANT embodies a fantasized America—one of roadside motels, wide-open spaces, and idling engines. Their music evokes the juke joints of Mississippi as much as the industrial beats of a Berlin club. They boast a unique sonic signature: filthy slide guitar, minimalist percussive grooves, hypnotic loops, and a raw, gravelly vocal. Spotted by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (with whom they toured the UK), RESTAVRANT has performed on major European stages, including Le Bataclan in Paris.

Several of their tracks have already been licensed for TV shows and commercials in the United States, appealing to music supervisors with their ability to instantly create a tense, swampy, or wild atmosphere—often at the crossroads of Modern Western and raw Electronica. RESTAVRANT is a cinematic sound, a road-trip rhythm, a raw material with high narrative potential. It is perfectly suited for visual universes that are dark, edgy, underground, or highly stylized.
